Red Velvet Pound Cake


Ingredients :

☞ 1 red food coloring ( 2 t )

☞ 3 cups flour

☞ 1/2 tsp baking soda

☞ 1/2 tsp salt

☞ 1/2 cocoa

☞ 1 buttermilk

☞ 1/2 butter

☞ 1/2 shortening

☞ 2 cups sugar

☞ 5 eggs

☞ 2 small spoon vanilla

* Cream Cheese Frosting

☞ cream cheese softened

☞ 1 stick butter

☞ 1 lb. box confectioner’s sugar

☞ 1 tsp. vanilla

Methods :

1 – Whisk cream butter, shortening, and sugar until light . Beat in eggs one at a time, beating well after every addition. Mix in vanilla and food coloring.

2 – Sieve together flour, soda, cocoa, and salt . Add to creamed mixture every other with buttermilk . Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees about 1hours . Cool in pan 10 minutes . Decorate as desired . ENJOY !!
